SUMMARY:

Experienced forklift operator to join fabrication shop team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Loads and unloads containers / trailers of stone slabs, including marble, granite, and porcelain (rain or shine).
• Safely lifts and maneuvers slabs from storage area to fabrication shop.
• Maintains work area ensuring clean, tidy, and products are safely stores and secured.
• Ensures inventory is accurately labeled and maintained.
• Lifts as well as carries materials and equipment throughout work areas using appropriate equipment.
• Performs daily cleaning and maintenance as required.
• Other tasks assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Previous experience as a material handler of granite, marble, porcelain slabs, or similar size weight of material is preferred.
• Experience in operating a forklift is required.
• Previous experience operating an overhead crane is preferred.
• Previous experience maintaining accurate inventory is preferred.

REQUIRED JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Ability to read and write.
• Basic math skills and knowledge how to use a calculator.
• Must be able to lift and / or move 80 lbs. with out assistance.
