SUMMARY:
Performs assigned general labor and equipment operator responsibilities.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintains supplies by receiving and stocking materials in designated areas.
- Lift as well as carries materials and equipment throughout work areas using appropriate equipment.
- Loads and unloads orders by hand or with the help of a forklift into customer and/or company vehicles and trucks, carefully and in accordance with safety best practices.
- Communicates effectively with customers, contractors, and other sire personnel. Assist in material selection and handling.
- Always maintains a neat and orderly work area. Ensures professional appearance of product in yard for sale or prior to shipping.
- Reports and damaged goods to supervisor upon receipt of and prior to providing a signature for delivered goods.
- Inspects all materials received for accuracy, checking for color, size, finish, quantity, quality, and damage.
- Performs general housekeeping duties as instructed.
REQUIRED JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Basic math
- Forklift
- Pallet Jack
- Sledge Hammer
- Frequently required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and sit.
- Must regularly lift and/or move 50 – 75 lbs. without assistance.
