Job Title: Dental Hygienist
Job Type: Temp-to-Hire
Location: Storrs, CT
Pay Rate: $45 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday (Full-Time)
Start Date: December 1st, 2025

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist for a temp-to-hire opportunity with a well-established and reputable medical/dental institution. The ideal candidate will be patient-focused, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering high-quality dental care in an academic clinical environment. This role offers the potential to transition into a permanent position based on performance and departmental needs.

Responsibilities:

• Provide dental hygiene services including routine cleanings, periodontal scaling, and root planing
• Conduct oral health assessments and chart patient conditions
• Take, process, and review digital dental X-rays
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and preventive care
• Maintain accurate and compliant patient records
• Ensure proper sterilization of instruments and adherence to infection control protocols
• Collaborate with dentists, faculty, and clinical staff to support patient care
• Deliver excellent customer service and ensure a positive patient experience

Requirements:

• Active Dental Hygienist license in the State of Connecticut
• CPR/BLS certification required
• Experience in a clinical or academic dental setting preferred but not required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Reliable, professional, and able to work in a structured, team-oriented environment
• Familiarity with dental software systems is a plus
